چکیده

In arid areas, the rapid evaporation of water leads to severe shortage for plant growth. Superabsorbent polymers have prospect preventing because its excellent absorbency. However, insufficient in salt resistance, retention, and swelling rate limit application. Herein, we fabricated Hydroxyethyl cellulose-g-(Acrylic acid-co-2-Acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propane sulfonic acid)/laterite (HEC-g-P (AA-co-AMPS)/laterite) with exceptional abovementioned performances by aqueous solution polymerization. Under optimal synthesis conditions, absorbency superabsorbent polymer were 1294 g/g, 177 119 g/g distilled water, tap 0.9 wt% NaCl solution, respectively. The retention was still as high 97.7% after 16 h at 25 ℃, up 832 re-swelling 5 times 40 absorption reached equilibrium only min. We investigated effect mount swollen hydrogel on soil, results showed that hydrogels effective inhibiting soil evaporation. Our study provides a new horizon application polymer.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Infl uence of Soil Water Retention Properties on Hydrological Cycle and Water Budgeting Module Simulation

Th e complexity of water budgeting module as shown in this paper is represented in phases. By experimental measurement of precipitation and lysimetric measurement of percolation runoff the fi rst phase establishes monthly and annual soil-water budgets of skeletal and clayey soils, and hence the infl uence of soil water-retention potential on hydrologic cycle and water budget over a four year pe...

Multiscale Pedotransfer Functions for Soil Water Retention

Soil hydraulic properties are needed in globaland regionalscale circulation models for hydrologic and climate forecasting. They are also necessary in pointand nonpoint-source contaminant transport models. Prediction accuracy of these models is highly dependent on the quality of the model parameters. Collecting the required soil hydraulic parameters by direct measurement at any model grid scale ...

Superabsorbent Polymers and Superabsorbent Polymer Composites

This article briefly describes the general aspects and cross-linking polymerization of superabsorbent polymers (SAPs) and superabsorbent polymer composites (SAPCs). Research and development of SAPs has become very active after the Northern Region Laboratory of the United States Department of Agriculture invented the first SAP, used as a soil conditioner. Based on the advancements in organic/ino...
